House of Emirates is proud to present this 2 Mark silver coin, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the creation of the Kingdom of Prussia (Preußen) in 1901.
The coin features two notable designs on each side: Obverse (right image): It shows a detailed portrait of Kaiser Wilhelm II in military attire, wearing a helmet (Pickelhaube) adorned with an eagle. The inscription reads “WILHELM II” on the right and “FRIEDRICH I 1701” on the left, referring to Friedrich I, the first King of Prussia, and Wilhelm II, the last German Emperor.
Reverse (left image): This side features the imperial eagle, the symbol of the German Empire. The inscriptions include “DEUTSCHES REICH” (German Empire), the year “1901,” and “ZWEI MARK” (2 Marks), indicating the denomination of the coin.
The coin is made of silver, weighs approximately 11.12 grams, and has a diameter of 29 mm. This piece is a historical tribute to Prussia’s founding as a kingdom in 1701 and celebrates its bicentennial.
